What’s it take to succeed on Medium.

I have done quite a bit of writing, editing, submitting, and more editing to provide good stuff.

Stuff that I believe people will want to read.

My results are not so great.

I am encouraged by having some of my work curated and distributed.

Curated?

Curated means I am capable of producing work that clears the bar, just not all the time.

I get that.

I see some authors get curated and posted four times in one day!

What are they doing that I’m not doing?

I’m going to find out what’s different between them and me.

I follow almost a hundred writers and have read at least three articles by each of those.

I have read some authors eight and ten times but no less than three.

Almost everything I read is top quality.

Reading over 300 articles does pay off.

I learned something from them all. Like these:

Shaunta Grimes posted: “How to Increase Your Medium Income a Little Bit Every Week.”

Little steps make bigger steps. Ok, I realize it takes time.

Helen Cassidy Page wrote,

3 Tips From an Editor to Help Your Curation Chances

Things to avoid and things you should do if you want to be successful.

Yes, punctuation means a lot; so does grammar.

Tom Keugler says:

Don’t Have Time to Write Every Day? Try This

You don’t have to produce a tome to get yourself noticed.

You do need to write often.

Shannon Ashley says bravery is a needed asset: Don’t be afraid of failure- It is a tool.

Courage Is an Underrated Quality for Longterm Success on Medium

Sometimes hard working folks can’t understand why their efforts are going unnoticed.

After all what they write is good stuff and others can get a lot out their work.

Writing requires the above and more.

No, I don’t think patience is a virtue- No way. Not in this business.

If you want to succeed you have to get busier, write more, edit, edit and keep improving your skills.

It’s not about luck-

Courage, hard work, self-mastery, and intelligent effort are all essential to successful life.

Theodore Roosevelt

It’s all about work.

Thanks for reading.
